The first question that comes to my mind is will the application run ok 
under a network server and what are it's requirements?

Running a Windows application under WINE isn't terribly tough, usually.  
Some run better than others.  Some not at all.  And networking an 
application is even more interesting :-)

What's the name of the application?


The problem I see is if the server will run the app under WINE and share 
at all.

The first place I'd look under is http://winehq.com.  I've spent quite a 
lot of time there this last year.  I don't waste my time with a Windows 
application unless it has Gold or Platinum status.  Not usually anyway.
