A good read for anyone who likes to be well informed on the issues
facing broadband in America:
http://www.itif.org/index.php?id=142
The full text of the report (PDF) is linked near the bottom of the
page, after the high-level summary.
As seen on Ars Technica:http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080502-trifecta-of-lost-opportunities-us-15-in-broadband-ranking.html
On a related note, please tell me that I'm not the only one who finds
Comcast's comparisons of their "high-speed" service to dial-up deeply
insulting. It's the 21st century already, for Pete's sake! My car
goes faster than a horse, but you don't see GM blasting buggies in
their ads.
Sad, sad business, that Comcast.
