The main source of doubt seems to be the lack of a body - everything
else is consistent with murder. Now it occurs to me that an engineer as
talented as Hans would be able to think up a good way to make a body
disappear, and since it's hard to get a murder conviction without a
body, he might have felt that would be his best protection. If he
weren't as bright it might have been harder for him to hide the body.
