I've been following the mailing list for a couple of years.  They
haven't mass produced anything yet but have been making progress.
Hopefully the OGD1 will be out sometime this year.  I believe that the
OGD1 won't do 3D.  As far as replacing your nvidia or ati graphics card
with one of these you may have to wait some more years for the general
open hardware community to mature some more.
