[sllug-members]: Bad UTOPIA news - let's do something about it

Through Xmission it costs $40/month for 15Mbps up and down. This
covers both the line fee and complete Internet residential service
from XMission.

They also offer 50Mbps for $50/month.

Compare that to the ~$54 Comcast wants for 7Mbps down and up to 3 Mbps
up, and you can see right away the compared value.

Add to this that Xmission will not shape packets like Comcast does for
video and large file downloads and you have even more value.
