For low/hobbyist quantities on an enormous range of parts, Digikey is
your best friend. www.digikey.com
Some others you might check out:
www.mouser.com
www.newark.com
www.alliedelec.com
There are some local electrical supply stores, but they tend not to
stock anything but the most basic/common stuff:
Standard Supply (~3400 South and main)
Ra-elco (the closest description I have for these guys is an electronics
flea market -- you'd have to see it to understand)
As a long shot, you might try your local Radio Shack. :-)
