PFsense is based on Monowall but has a lot more features. I had great
sucess with it. http://pfsense.com/
If you want more layer-7 features like anti-virus, anti-spam, etc, you
should try the Untangle Appliance. http://www.untangle.com/
Another choice to consider would be Vyatta. http://vyatta.com/
