If you've given your child a laptop I think you're showing some amount
of trust and respect in the child. I'm of the mindset that if my
child wants a laptop they can go out and get a job and buy one
themselves. I would hope if they were responsible enough to do that
they'd be responsible enough to use it afterwards.
If a kid wants to find porn he's going to find porn, despite filters
you put in place on wifi, home, school, etc. Kids are resourceful
little buggers, just like we are in the FOSS world. Where there is a
will there is a way...
