Wow thanks for the info guys, ever thought of starting a separate list
for computer recycling. I wouldn't mind being on it!

Thanks kev and everyone, that will help a lot. I have been thinking
about starting an organization which revamps old computers (with Linux
of course) and then gives them away. I started one in Cedar City and it
took off, but I had to leave it in others' hands and come back up north.
I might start a thread describing it better and looking for interest.
My main worry is that I work for Guru Labs and am out of town a lot.

Here is the guy that will pay out for some parts (and take others like
monitors for no charge):

I know a guy who does this and will even offer cash for the non-monitor
parts. Some places will charge you but he's the only one currently that
pays out for this kind of stuff.
Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you his contact info.

I need to unload some monitors and parts, is there a place in Salt Lake
that recycles computers? I just want to make sure they are taken care
of properly.
