As always "best" is subjective. When you leave the school and apply at
"big fortune 500 company" the U and Y will look best on your resume.
Personally I think I would have a hard time at the Y(my dating life has
improved so much since I grew the goatee....) . There are colleges that
will get you your degree in less time, IBM hired the valedictorian of
eagle gate at a very nice wage, but he was valedictorian. Those
colleges aren't as well heard of and don't get you the well rounded
education and tend to cost a lot more(but if you already have a wife and
kids and want the degree soon, they might be worth it).
All of that said I went to USU and loved it. I went while I was single
and loved living in a college town. USU has a great Linux group(I'm a
little biased about that). They have some good teachers and some lousy
teachers. The program is a LOT easier to get into, and some companies
may be less interested in hiring you if your degree is from USU rather
than the U, but I'm glad I went to USU.
What you really probably wanted to know is where you would learn the
most. School of hard knocks is right. Personally I got the degree to
have the degree I knew most of my learning would come out side of the
class room.
