I might not be able to make the meeting, but I'm definitely interested in
providing any ammo and support I can. I'm the owner of a web development
company, and we're right now in the process of moving to Murray because of
Utopia. We're in Foothill Village right now, but can't get Comcast (even
if we wanted to) without paying $5000 installation fee for them to trench
a line under a driveway (no overhead lines allowed), and the best Qwest
can get us is 1.5Mbps DSL, because the lines are lousy. (We spent most of
last week at 600kbps down and 100kbps up until they came out and replaced
a faulty line on our circuit.)

I'd love to stay in SLC, but simply can't afford to when I can get 30Mbps
for about $125/month if I pick up an office in centrally-located Murray.
So if my story or voice can be of any assistance, let me know.

Perhaps taking a poll might be in order? Ask around at local businesses
and inform them about Utopia and its benefits over Comcast and Qwest, and
ask them if they had all three available in their area, which would they
choose. I bet we'll get some great results, even if we just present the
facts without a sales job.

By the way, we're hiring great talent, if anyone is interested. The
positions we're looking to fill most are for PHP/MySQL web developers and
HTML/CSS front-end developers (with or without Graphic Design or Flash or
JavaScript skills). There's a bunch of extra money for a developer with
the skills and talent to be a Team Lead (a management and development role
responsible for training, QA, and estimating for the team). Someone that
wanted to do FreeBSD sysadmin part of the time would be welcome too. Linux
geeks are highly encouraged to apply, and FreeBSD geeks are even more
highly favored, with OSX being a close runner up. (We'll take the right
Windows guy too, and work on converting him.) We pay 100% of your health
insurance (single, two-party or family plans) and pay highly competetive
rates. We have a generous bonus plan and a lot of fun. Our new Murray
office will have Utopia and the Game Room. Send questions and resumes to
info at codegreene.com .

Thanks,
Mac
