I've also been known to lurk on SLLUG as well.

I've been with Consonus for four years now and I can confidently say
that our datacenters are the best in the state. Most people know us
for our premier datacenter in West Jordan, but we also have two in
downtown Salt Lake. They can generally be classified as
Good/Better/Best (or Tier 2, 3, and 4 if you go by the Uptime
Institute classifications).

I generally don't jump into these threads because:

A) less biased people usually speak highly of us
B) people are often looking to host one or two servers and Consonus
doesn't sell anything less than a half rack (no per-RU options)
C) people are often looking for a VPS or looking to move the family
website out of the basement. These items are outside of the Consonus
scope.

If you are looking for a VPS I like to recommend Westhost. If you are
looking to host 1 or 2 RU's inexpensively, I recommend Xmission. If
you are looking to host mission critical infrastructure in a
zero-down-time datacenter you can't beat Consonus.

FWIW,

Jake Pollmann
