[sllug-members]: Which Network Monitoring Solution?

LOL - I must admit to you that when I worked with Nagios at first, I found
it a bit difficult to understand, but having never worked with an enterprise
network monitoring system before, I didn't have a clue - now that I've begun
work with OpenNMS I realize that Nagios was much easier to deal with -
object based configuration with natural inheritance was one of the nicest
things about it. Plus it made more sense than OpenNMS' stupid XML
configuration. BUT you can't really always tell your employer which
solution they should use, heh!
