[sllug-members]: CVS Issue

I am trying to setup a CVS server, and as far as I can tell all has
gone fine except when I try to remote connect to my server I am told
the repository is not valid.

I have done the following:

1) Setup cvsroot in /var/lib/cvsroot
2) verified that cvs is running
3) imported files into /var/lib/cvsroot
   - when I look in /var/lib/cvsroot I can see the folder and the files under it
4) try to connect using :pserver:username at ipaddress:/var/lib/cvsroot

Seems no matter what I put for the path I get back
cvs [rls aborted]: unrecognized auth response from IPADDR: cvs
[pserver aborted]: /var/lib/cvsroot: no such repository

Ideas? Did I miss a step? Do I need to make a ln or something?
