[sllug-members]: PCTV PCI HD Tuner card

Before I go out and make a mistake I thought I would ask for your insight.

I recently purchased a SAMSUNG 22" wide screen for my computer
which I am impressed with.

I now want to purchase a HI DEV PCI card so that I can watch HI DEF
on occasion on this monitor.

I see multiple brands of cards out there. However, I am kind of leaning
to the Pinnacle PCTV card:

I require the QAM tuner as I don't pay for any special services for the
extended
HD channels but get several channels now on my HD TV in the living room.
It only goes to 1080i but I probably will be fine with that. (Your
thoughts welcome)

Eventually I would like to use the computer to record some Hi Def shows.
and I understand this can be done with MYTH TV ?  Is this the best program
for doing this?

Since my computer is on the other side of the house from the main TV
and suggestions on how I can playback a recorded HI DEF TV program on
the computer to come through the main TV?   I was thinking about using a
Large USB external drive and then playing it back on the big TV with my
laptop VGA cable through the computer.  Works great now as a monitor
with this 42" screen.
