LUG,
>From the great GuruLabs guides, I know the Treos work with Linux as
modems over Bluetooth. See

Has anyone had success tethering them with a USB cable?
My experiences with a 700p on Verizon and FC6 have not been successful.
The first character sent via /dev/ttyUSB0 immediately causes the Treo to
do a soft reset. /dev/ttyUSB1 does nothing at all. It is the same issue
as detailed here:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.usb.devel/45682
although I doubt that Verizon has done much actual modification.
My google-fu has failed to find any successful users via USB. Bluetooth
is not available to me, so USB is the only way.
The phone does work correctly on the same machine in Windows via USB.
Before I begin tracing Windows USB traffic or other bletcherous items, I
thought I'd ask if anyone has gotten this to work.
Andrew
