I assume you have her set up using smtps.cs.utah.edu as her outgoing
mail server? I'm a little confused as the "key has expired" error
generally refers to the GnuPG key, not the SSL cert (although I
personally don't use kmail so I'm not intimately familiar with its error
messages). Could it be that her username/password combo for logging in
to smtps.cs.utah.edu was encrypted by kmail/kwallet and the gpg key used
to obtain that info has expired? Just a guess.

If you let me know what hostname/IP you are coming in from and her
username, I can look our logs and give you a specific reason for why the
connection isn't being established or mail isn't going through. Oh, and
am I right that her username is coralee? Oh#2, if you have a time that
you know of when opening up a connection to smtps has failed, that'd
save me some time in looking through the logs, but isn't necessary.
Oh#3, if you want to you can always drop some email to
support at cs.utah.edu any problem you might have with the SoC facility,
but if you want I can just work with you via private email to figure out
what the deal is here.

		Cheers,
