Craigslist worked out very well for me when I needed to trade memory
recently.  I received a pair of Blaze tickets & a new 40GB 2.5" hdd in
exchange for a 1GB stick.

Maybe open the offer to sell as well as trade.  Then you could
purchase the desired memory.
