I knew I shouldn't have composed that message while teaching a class. Don't
teach and try and compose a message at the same time. You leave out
important parts.

I should have added here that the fglrx that is on ati's website (I did try
it.) fails when doing the
aticonfig --initial
I'm not sure if this is due to Fedora 7 or due to the card being a 5250 and
not a 5200. There is a difference between the two cards.
Hopefully this helps clear up some things.
The vesa driver works for the most part, just not the widescreen and of
course no desktop effects.
