be sure to get a tv with square pixels. The 16x9 sets with a native
1280x768 are less common now but they used to be all over the place.

I have a westinghouse 1366x768 set that runs great with a 1360x768
modeline* I found online (the built-in 1360x768 mode did not display
right). I haven't used myth with it directly but vlc is able to show dvd
resolution stuff from the hd on the full screen using a fairly wimpy
533mhz pc.

* in the monitor section:
Modeline "1360x768" 84.254 1360 1408 1440 1776 768 768 778 790 -hsync -vsync
