mrtg, cacti, munin, ipac-ng (3 of which are rrdtool based)
if you've got a wrt54g v4 or lower, see dd-wrt.com, grab the firmware,
and install the snmpd, there are also windows tools that you can use
to poll snmpd on your router for an up to date 'snapshot' of what
you're doing.
