HP Pavilion dv5000 series HP Pavilion dv5237cl LAPTOP
Model: "Hewlett-Packard Company 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition
Audio Controller"
Vendor: pci 0x8086 "Intel Corporation"
Device: pci 0x27d8 "82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller"
SubVendor: pci 0x103c "Hewlett-Packard Company"
SubDevice: pci 0x30a5
Revision: 0x01
Driver: "HDA Intel"
Driver Modules: "snd_hda_intel"
On the ALSA site the following tar files are available:
alsa-driver-1.0.14rc1.tar.bz2
alsa-firmware-1.0.14rc1.tar.bz2
alsa-lib-1.0.14rc1.tar.bz2
alsa-plugins-1.0.14rc1a.tar.bz2
alsa-tools-1.0.14rc1.tar.bz2
alsa-utils-1.0.14rc1.tar.bz2
When compiled and installed alsa-driver above my sound output
volume increased to what I would deem as normal and comparable
to XP.
It is unclear to me if I should have also installed:
alsa-firmware
alsa-lib
or any of the others.
Comments?
Should I bugreport to the ALSA site the microphone not working or
continue to play with this some more. Mic. works fine when booted
into XP. MIC worked fine on 10.1.
