There was an article in the Deseret News recently:
http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,660196318,00.html
Then later I heard someone say that they are officially filing bankruptcy
today. Word on the street is that they're starting back up with a clean
slate and a new name, but the same broken management team that sunk them
this time. If you had hardware colocated with them, it apparently has been
moved to Holladay, though I don't know the address. Some people were
discussing in IRC in #xmlounge at ircd.xmission.com about how to find them
or get in touch with them to get the hardware back.
XMission has been flooded with Aros refugees, and I think that's the smart
move at this point. If anyone wants to tell XMission that Code Greene
referred you, that would be appreciated too. I've been a very happy
customer of theirs for years, for dialup, multiple DSLs, a variety of web
hosting accts, and colocation, and I can recommend them without hesitation
to almost anyone.
For what it's worth, there's someone on the list who does or did work for
Aros, but I don't know how much they are able or willing to share at this
point. And they might not want a bunch of flames and hate mail (like if
this got forwarded to the PLUG list or something).
Thanks,
Mac
