Hmm, maybe because I'm not in the habit of using this program, and I can
never remember its existence when I need it :-) Thanks for the hint.
Maybe this will be the time I finally remember about lspci for the next
time I need it :-)  It still means, of course, that I have to get them
to boot some live CD first, then wait while I make up an xorg.conf, etc,
but it's workable.  Thanks.
