Brian, are you looking specifically for an IBM T-series laptop? If  
so, I've ordered from Eagle Computer (http://www.saveateagle.com) in  
the past and have had pretty good luck with them.

Looks like they have T40's starting at $488.00, which I consider to  
be a pretty good price.
