An additional question for the original poster; are you running your 
server inside, outside, or AS a firewall?

I have a DSL modem that also works (I hope) as a firewall.

Currently, there are 4 computers connected to that DSL modem in a star
configuration.
3 windows workstations and 1 linux (FC-1) webserver/DNS server.

My plan is to replace one of the windows workstations and the server with
this new box.  It will still be attached to the DSL modem.

The DSL modem is a Linksys 4 port modem that comes with the 'QWERST' DSL
service.  I don't use the wireless functionality, it's disabled.  I have
locked down all the ports except for ports 80 and 23(? - whatever mail
uses.)  Presumably, nothing can come in except on those two ports unless the
request originates from inside the firewall.
