I've been googling, but coming up short on an answer.
Distro: RHEL4/CentOS4
Package: bind-9.2.4-16.EL4
HW: COTS PC, VMware virtual machine (hardware seems to be irrelevant)
I've had my master named mysteriously dying on me in RHEL4/CentOS4. Last
night I was able to determine that when I ssh into the machine as root,
then do:
# service named status
I see the following in the named error log:
Oct 18 02:12:47.795 general: error: invalid command from
127.0.0.1#32778: bad auth
Oct 18 02:12:55.544 general: error: invalid command from
127.0.0.1#32779: bad auth
Oct 18 02:12:55.577 general: info: shutting down
Oct 18 02:12:55.578 general: notice: stopping command channel on
127.0.0.1#953
Oct 18 02:12:55.578 general: notice: stopping command channel on ::1#953
Oct 18 02:12:55.579 network: info: no longer listening on 127.0.0.1#53
Oct 18 02:12:55.579 network: info: no longer listening on 10.0.0.250#53
Oct 18 02:12:55.584 general: notice: exiting
I've been googling my head off, but either this is obscure, or I'm not
hitting the right keywords.
Any ideas?
James
