USC isn't necessarily the registrar, but they're hosting the DNS. I
wouldn't expect a university to be handling registrar functions ala
Godaddy, et. al. /Could/ happen, but seems a little weird.

The nail in the coffin really is that the date of last change of the
zone was 12/01/2000. So in the last almost six years, no subdomains have
been added. That sounds pretty much unused to me.
