I have been using OpenWRT because of the stability of the hardware, in
as well as the low power consumption. I have VOIP and when ever my power
goes out, or the main box crashes due to my crappy backup scripts and
such, my router still runs great.
I have not had any problems with it staying running when I break my
main server...

Dansguardian and tinyproxy (or squid) have access logs. The IP in 
dansguardian now shows the IP of the router instead of the client that 
accesses the site.
