I am a fan of WestHost (http://affiliates.westhost.com/z/1/CD530/). They
are up in Logan, have reasonable/competitive rates and I have had
nothing but good service from them. I have even been able to install my
own software (Tomcat among other things) to run Java/J2EE
Struts/Spring/Hibernate web apps. They support PHP/MySQL, Perl, etc
right out of the box.

Depending on how much control you want, you may want to consider shared
hosting. It will save you some $$$ and you can always move to a
dedicated solution later on when you need to. Here are a few links for
