hmmm not a lot of feed back yet. After the intial response of saying
Hatch can't make it, I don't think his office responded to inquries
about sending a represenative. So Mr. Ashdown gave his little spill and
talk about some of our questions. I've been impressed with Mr. Ashdown
since I first met him last fall, and have become and active member of
his campaign. So you may notice some bias in my remarks. And also feel
free to correct me if I get something wrong.

Mr. Ashdown is for open public comment as part of the patent approval
system and five year software patents. Also for much shorter copyrights.

Mr. Ashdown feels the out sourcing problem will work it self out in a
free market system. (his experience with out sourcing was that it led to
poorer customer service)

Mr. Ashdown feels that while content holders should have rights as to
the redistribution to their product. customers should me free to alter
their products if they want(contrary to the DMCA).

Mr. Ashdown also commented that Hatch has done very little for the state
of Utah with his senority.

Mr. Ashdown also spoke in favor of fusion power, and against Utah being
used as the dumping ground for material that other states didn't want.

More can be learned at pashdown.org . contact brett or pete
@pashdown.org to get editor privilages on the wiki so you can help shape
his campaign.

Kyle
