So, I got on eBay and found 2 678's for 9.99. That's a pretty good deal
I suppose. Drawbacks? The auction also came with two 675's (so now I
have 3), no management cables, and only 1 power supply. But, given that
I already had a 675 with p/s and mgmt cable, I now have two fully
functioning 678's (which I upgraded to CBOS 2.4.9) for $5 a piece, and 3
675's that I get to skeet-shoot!

The 678 seems to connect better than the Actiontec, but I am unsure that
I am getting as fast of a connection with it. www.dslreports.com/stest
only shows that I am getting 1.2Mbit at best where I used to be getting
1.4 - 1.5... The modem itself shows that it negotiated at 1284 down
1024 up (or thereabouts) and I'm supposed to have 1536 down, 936 up (or
something). So, anyone have a comment on this?

I'm using bridging mode so the only way to get into the modem is by
serial cable.

Also, is 2.4.9 the absolute latest release?

Thanks.

Jarom
