In my experience, they even work AWESOME as a router unit. I preface that
with an understanding that the user will be using Windows machines. If
you're using Linux, forget using DHCP. There is a known issue with the
GT701-WG and Linux. I have needed to manually set IP address, DNS servers,
etc. on Linux machines behind it.
I've run it both ways -- bridged and as a normal router.
