[sllug-members]: .exrc line no longer works on SUSE 10.1

Do you have ispell installed on your machine?

On SUSE 9.3 and all version below including Unix systems I have tested

map v :!ispell -x %^M:n %^M^M

in the .exrc file works.

Then by pressing v within vim/vi it would go out and check the spelling
and inline (inplace) fix the spelling for me.

Now this command within .exrc fails with 10.1.
Kernel 2.6.16.13-4-default

Does this work for you? Any suggestions how to fix this or pointers
on what changed?
