Depending on what you're planning on hosting the box looks like it  
may be a bit overkill. But since you didn't specify what you're doing  
with the box we just don't know.

Personally I wouldn't use the 3ware cards, in my experience the  
performance of them is adequate at best. There was a review of SATA  
cards in linux that was posted on slashdot about 6 months ago. Look  
it up, it has a few recommendations for other cards.

UVNet down in Utah County has hosting options at reasonable prices.  
They may not be as reliable as Xmission or Consonus but probably cost  
a bit less.
