There are lots of good reasons to run unencrypted wireless networks. 
Certainly if someone is being impolite and sucking up all your bw, you should 
bump them off.  But especially when running a reasonably-adminned Linux box, I 
try to avoid crippling the possibilities of a really neat technology.
