According to crucial:

The ML330 needs PC133 SDRam
ML330 G2 needs PC133 SDRam
ML330 G3 needs PC2700 DDR
ML330e  needs PC133 SDRam.

Double check which version of the server you are talking about 
(generation). And if it is a G3, the 2700 should work fine. Also, PC2700 
should be fully compatible with PC2100 requirements, it just won't run 
as fast on PC2100. Also, because the G3 is a dual-channel system, make 
sure your memory is matched correctly, ie... 1&3 2&4

Just verify your generation, and that you have the correct memory.
