I did try this out a while back for some time, but had some really
annoying issues with connection timeouts and permissions. I didn't use
it for long.

I like WinSCP, but they really need to work out their encryption
performance. It's currently about 15 times less efficient than using
scp on linux (you can transfer around 620KB/s using WinSCP where you
can transfer around 10MB/s with the same amount of CPU power using
scp).
