Open YaST, select the security tab and open the 'Local Security' module.
Browse through the options until you see 'Delay after Incorrect Login
Attempt'. Default is 3, change it to whatever.
Or, if you're like me and hate YaST, you could edit /etc/login.defs and
modify the line 'FAIL_DELAY' to have a lower number.
Don't know if this affects xscreensaver or not, as these are the
settings for console login. But it's worth a shot.
