Information Systems Job Openings
American Research Bureau (ARB)
2386 E. Heritage Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84109
We are looking for individuals with broad interests and skills who want
the advantages and challenges of working for a small company and the
opportunity to improve the company by applying technology.
Company Information
ARB was established in 1935 and has consistently invested in technology
to gain competitive advantage. Internally developed Java applications
form the core of our business processes from research and collaboration,
to customer relationship management and office automation. SQL databases
(DB2 and MySQL) are used extensively, with the largest being over 500
Gigabytes. We have a variety of Linux servers (Intel & IBM Open Power),
Linux desktops (Intel), and very few Windows systems. We are in a
competitive, niche market where genealogical research mixes with private
investigation and we have been very successful at implementing and
benefiting from custom, innovative, technology solutions. We continue to
invest in technology to support field representatives, researchers,
office staff, and customers, and have many exciting projects planned.
ARB employees are pleasant, friendly, diligent and professional. They
are busy and work hard during scheduled hours and are involved in
meaningful family, community, and church activities outside of work.
Employees dress modestly and conservatively in traditional office
attire. They have high standards of integrity. Many have been with the
company for more than 10 years. The offices are located in an appealing,
non-congested area and are clean, quiet, and comfortable. For the right
person, it is a great place to work!
Compensation and Benefits
Both positions are full-time and salaried and include benefits. Salary
is dependent on qualifications. After two years of service, employees
can participate in ARB's “Key Bonus” program.
