Galileo Processing has opened the position of Operations Analyst. This
position is an integral part of the Operations team and interacts with
development and customer service functions to research, identify, and
resolve issues that arise in day-to-day processing. This position may
also
be called on to perform selected development and/or database
administration tasks as part of the Galileo IT department functions.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

    * Research and identify root causes in reported bugs and issues
    * Provide second-tier support for Customer Service team
    * Setup, configure and administer Galileo products and processes as
      required
    * Administer, develop and test Unix shell scripts for process
      automation
    * Work with application developers to specify and design fixes to
      existing processes as well as new processes
    * Work with the database administrator to maintain and enhance the
      current database environment
    * Monitor servers, processes and logs through the use of Zabbix and
      other in-house monitoring processes
    * Perform tasks related to database migration between Informix and
      Oracle
    * Download and process files from the Federal Reserve Bank
    * Perform selected operations tasks as directed
    * May participate in regular on-call rotation

Qualifications:

    * Minimum 5 years experience in analyst or database administration
      roles or equivalent education and work experience
    * Knowledge of customer service and support functions
    * Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
    * Experience with database systems and SQL query design and
      optimization required
    * Experience with Linux preferred
    * Experience with Informix, Oracle and MySQL database systems
preferred
    * Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
    * Good customer relations skills
